John's Turbo TM

Wow! This one should be in the feature car section, but the owner didn't find us - one of the members found him!

Craig spotted this one and went straight home for his digital camera (thanks Craig). A great car, and if anyone spots a sweet Magna - do us a favour and at least direct them to the site...

This car, belonging to John, is another 'original' Magna - an '85 TM.

It has a claimed power output of 381hp and a claimed 400m of 12.89sec. It has been converted from carby to efi, runs a Toyota CT20 turbo (17psi!), 2.5" stainless steel exhaust system from dump pipe to muffler - and check out those 18" rims (225/40x8). There are plenty of other mods that can be clearly seen in the pics - but also hidden in there is the 'brains' behind the operation - a Motec system. The head has also been worked, and features upgraded springs and valves. The pistons are still factory - but apparently an upgrade to forged pistons is in the pipeline.

The ICE is just as vast - and features an Alpine TV/DVD - with screens (x2) in the headrests
