James's Turbo TR
Originally this was just your average 2.6. However, after a nasty experience trying to pass a truck on the highway, it was decided to get a few more horses. From there, one thing led to another - and now this once average TR has a very substantial list of modifications!
General modifications include DBA rotors, lowered springs, upgraded shocks, Flexiglow lighting, neon lighting, upgraded wheels, a Diamante front, aftermarket electric windows, a bonnet scoop and a blow off valve.
The engine has had a lot of working, including being rebored 40thou oversize, chrome rings/decompressed hypereutectic pistons, Balanced conrods with ARP bolts, Knife edged crank shaft & balanced, Removed balance shafts, ARP main studs. ARP head studs, New head, Stainless valves, Double valve springs, Stage 2 cam, 5 speed gearbox, lightened Carbon Steel Flywheel, semi ceramic clutch, electric water pump, water/air intercooler, 550cc injectors and a wolf 3D engine management system.
Non mechanical mods are Jaycar Response speakers in all the doors, a JVC MP3 KD-SH99R Head unit, Ice blue headlights (all 6), White LEDs in place of the number plate lights, removed the dash lights and replaced them with ultra bright blue LEDs, rewired the sub so the amps are under the passenger and drivers seat, moved the battery to the boot, and for security installed a paging alarm.
